The WAVE bioreactor is the ideal cell culture equipment. WAVE uses a sterile and closed disposable bag, which can effectively prevent contamination. Also, WAVE can automatically control process conditions such as incubation temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and pressure. Compared with stirred tank bioreactors, WAVE has the advantages of low shearing force, easy operation, linear amplification, avoidance of cross-contamination, high cell density, uniform protein expression, etc.

Based on the WAVE bioreactor and a mature transient transfection/stable cell line construction platform, Biologics International Corp (BIC) provides larget scale antibody/protein production service to meet customers’ demands for large quantities of active antibodies/proteins. We apply the WAVE 20/50 bioreactor, which can be flexibly expanded to 25 L and use perfusion/batch culture methods

Process optimization: We optimize the medium, temperature, pH, rocking speed, rocking angle, feeding, etc. The optimized process parameters can be used directly for larger-scale production.

Wealth of experience: BIC is familiar with a variety of cell culture methods, such as HEK293, CHO, and hybridoma cells.

Platform maturity: Our platforms include transient transfection technology, a stable cell line construction platform, and a protein purification platform. More than 500 projects have been completed successfully, including several projects requiring production of >100 mg.

WAVE bioreactor

The WAVE bioreactor consists of a pyrogen-free,disposable bag and a precision rocking and monitoring platform. After optimization of the medium and process parameters, a cell density>10⁷ cells/ml can be obtained, with protein yields more than grams level.

Sterile pyrogen-free cell culture bag

Pre-irradiation sterilization of cell bags preserves a variety of interfaces, including ventilation, inoculation, harvesting, feeding, aseptic sampling, and perfusion culture. Sterile pyrogen-free disposable culture bags can be used to take samples at any time for monitoring the cells’ status.

Precision rocking and monitoring platform

The precision shaking and monitoring platform can automatically provide feedback and control culture temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and pressure, which can achieve precise and reliable digital control and effectively provide feedback on the fluctuation of the culture conditions in the control process.
