MCP-3 (Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-3), Rat Recombinant, E.coli

The C-C chemokines RANTES and monocyte chemotactic protein-3 (MCP-3/CCL7) are potent chemoattractants that attract and activate monocytes and lymphocytes, as well as basophil and eosinophil leukocytes. MCP-3 has potent eosinophil chemoattractant properties and associated with allergic reactions, with distinct target cell profiles, and are believed to be involved in the regulation of different types of inflammation. In addition, CCL7 is crucial for monocyte mobilization from bone marrow to blood and from blood to the inflammatory site. CCL7, a close relative of CCL2, CCL7 is potentially involved in a number of processes related to inflammation and/or fibrosis. Moreover, CCL7 is also able to directly stimulate type I collagen expression by skin fibroblasts in vitro and to work in concert with TGFβ on collagen synthesis.
Description MCP-3 Rat Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 74 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8.5kDa.
The MCP-3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms C-C motif chemokine 7, Monocyte chemoattractant protein 3, Monocyte chemotactic protein 3, MCP-3, Small-inducible cytokine A7, Ccl7, Mcp3, Scya7.
Source Escherichia Coli.
Amino Acid Sequence QPDGTNSSTC CYVKKQKIPK RNLKSYRKIT SSRCPWEAVI FKTKKGMEVC AEAHQKWVEE AIAYLDMKTS TPKP.
Purity >96% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Formulation Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
MCP-3 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered concentrated solution in 20mM PB, 300mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
Stability The lyophilized form of the protein is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks and at -20°C for at least 2 years from the date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C for no more than 7 days. The protein is stable at -20°C for six months. For long term storage, please store at -80°C and the addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood monocytes using a concentration range of 50.0-300.0 ng/ml.
Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MCP-3 in sterile 18M?-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Usage LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. Not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
