MCP-2 (Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-2), Mouse Recombinant, E.coli

Monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP)-1, -2, and -3 all have been shown to induce monocyte migration in vitro. They act as potent activators and chemoattractants for monocytes, basophils, eosinophils, T-lymphocyte subsets, dendritic cells and endothelial cells, but not neutrophils. These proteins are inflammatory mediators that specifically stimulate the directional migration of T cells may play an important role in immune cell. Mouse CCL8 (also known as MCP-2) is a CC chemokine of the monocyte chemoattractant protein family. MCP-2 is highly expressed in the skin, and it serves as an agonist for the chemokine receptor CCR8. This factor distinguishes CCL8 from all other MCP chemokines. MCP-2 stimulate significant in vitro chemotaxis of human peripheral blood T lymphocytes.
Description Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-2 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 74 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8507 Dalton.
The MCP-2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Purity >96% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Formulation Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered concentrated (1.0mg/ml) solution in 20mM PB, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl.
Stability The lyophilized form of the protein is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks and at -20°C for at least 2 years from the date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C for no more than 7 days. The protein is stable at -20°C for six months. For long term storage, please store at -80°C and the addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood monocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000-100,000IU/mg.
Solubility It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CCL8in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Usage LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. Not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
