CCL3/MIP 1a Human
Human Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand3 (CCL3) also known as human macrophage inflammatory protein -1alpha (MIP-1alpha) and SCYA3 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL3 proteins are expressed primarily in T cells, B cells, and monocytes after antigen or mitogen stimulation. CCL3 exhibits chemoattractive and adhesive effects on lymphocytes. CCL3 excerts multiple effects on hematopoietic precursor cells and inhibits the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells in vitro as well as in vivo.CCR1 and CCR5 have been identified as functional receptors for CCL3.
Full Name | Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 Alpha Human Recombinant (CCL3) |
Synonyms | Small inducible cytokine A3, CCL3, Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha, MIP-1-alpha, Tonsillar lymphocyte LD78 alpha protein, G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1, G0S19-1 protein, SIS-beta, PAT 464.1, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 3, MIP1A, SCYA3, G0S19-1, LD78ALPHA. |
Source | E. coli |
Amino Acid Sequence | The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Asp-Thr-Pro-Thr. |
Molecular Weight | Recombinant Human CCL3 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 66 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 7.5 kDa. |
Purity | Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC. Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | Endotoxin level was found to be ≤ 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg) by LAL gel clot method. |
Formulation | BIC recombinant CCL3/MIP-1 alpha is lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered solution of 20mM PB,150mM NaCl, pH7.4. |
Reconstitution | To reconstitute the protein, add sterile water to the lyophilized protein and make a preparation with a concentration ≥0.1mg/ml. The preparation can be diluted into other appropriate buffers if necessary. Be cautious and avoid potential contamination with bacteria and endotoxin |
Stability | The lyophilized form of the protein is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks and at -20°C for at least 2 years from the date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C for no more than 7 days. The protein is stable at -20°C for six months. For long term storage, please store at -80°C and the addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Biological Activity | The ED50 of rHuCCL3 as determined by its ability to chemoattract human CCR5 transfected BaF3 mouse proB cells was 3 -10ng/mL |
Usage | LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. Not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. |
